Flatholm island and the lighthouse.
The island has a few inhabitants namly the farmer, his stock and the thousands of rabbits.
The island has 3 No WW2 ancient relics in the form of gun bunker / turrets 2 No looking south and 1 No looking west.
There used to be an isolation hospital sited there in the 1940's but has long gone.

Sails down - all ship shape & Bristol fashion aproaching Avonmouth - have called Avonmouth Radio to request permission to enter the River Avon -Permission granted - requested to report back when approaching Black Rock
Avonmouth breakwater - you do not want to get this entrance wrong on a rising tide of 6 knots or you will end up in Gloucester.

Navigation up the River avon is by leading transits in daylight and leading lights after dusk - get it wrong on a falling tide and you have major problems.
